NRW is organized by the IEEE RAS INSAT Student Branch Chapter, a student-run team based at INSAT. This page is here so you know exactly what we do with your information when you register for a challenge, sign up for the newsletter, message our chatbot, or just browse the site — no fine print you need a lawyer for.
What we ask for at registration
When you or your team apply through the registration wizard, we collect your name, surname, governorate, university, field and level of study, email, and phone number. If you're paying by D17, bank transfer, or handing cash to one of the OC members, we also ask for a screenshot or photo of the payment proof so our finance team can confirm it against the transaction. None of this goes anywhere except our internal registration records — we use it to build the participant list, assign you to your challenge, and reach you if there's a schedule change or an issue with your payment.
The chatbot
The assistant on this site is powered by Orbit AI (orbit.tn), a third-party service we use to answer common questions about the event. Whatever you type into it is sent to their API to generate a reply. Don't paste anything in there you wouldn't want processed by a service outside our control — for account-specific questions about your registration or payment, email us directly instead.
Newsletter
Subscribing is opt-in: we only add your email to the list if you check the consent box and hit subscribe. We use it to send updates about the schedule, speakers, and logistics in the run-up to the week itself, and you can unsubscribe whenever you want.
Photos and videos during the week
Throughout NRW we take photos and film footage at the venue for our social media pages and to report back to sponsors and IEEE. If you'd rather not appear in anything we publish, let a committee member know at check-in and we'll keep you out of the shots we post.
Cookies and tracking
We don't run analytics or ad trackers on this site. The only outside request the site makes on load is to Google Fonts, to load the typefaces you're reading right now.
Who sees your data
Registration and payment details are only visible to the OC members handling registrations, logistics, and finance for this edition. We don't sell it, rent it, or hand it to sponsors. Payment proofs are deleted once the finance team has reconciled that edition's accounts, and registration records are kept until the following year's NRW so we can follow up on things like certificates and alumni outreach, then cleared out.
